The premise of the podcast is simple. The people of Whoville accused The Grinch of trying to steal Christmas, which he denies. In fact, they believe he needs to learn a lesson. So, to work on his interpersonal skills, the courts have ordered The Grinch to host a late-night talk show. Every week, he chats with celebrities along with his dog Max and assistant Cindy. They talk about all things Christmas as each guest tries to persuade him of its joy.
In one podcast episode, fellow talk show host Seth Meyers joins for a chat. As he reads out Seth's many accolades, The Grinch jokes that his guest is actually himself. First, he must decide whether Seth should address him as Grinch or The Grinch. Then, The Grinch questions why Seth has never invited him on his own talk show. Seth jokes that he always thought he was media shy. After some fun sparring, they talk about Late Night with Seth Meyers. Seth then questions The Grinch about his dislike of Christmas and people in general. The Grinch also interviews guests like comedian Patton Oswalt and actress Tabitha Brown.
What will happen when singer Meghan Trainor joins The Grinch on his talk-show couch? Can she persuade him of the joys of Christmas? They start by discussing her first hit song, "All About That Bass." Both then try to get their voices as low as they can. They talk about Meghan's songs playing in DIY stores and how her husband shaved her legs when she was pregnant. Meghan shares her holiday traditions and admits watching The Grinch movie every year. She also says she will send him pictures of her kids dressed as The Grinch to fill his green heart with love.
